Wiki Leaks

I keep reading about WikiLeaks and I'm not impressed.  As someone that worked for a government agency, I don't consider these email/memo leaks a big deal.  As a rule, your chance for advancement is directly related to how many emails you send out and who you CC, more than what is actually said in the email.  Since everyone sends so many emails, you have to say something contreversial just to get noticed.  If you look hard enough at these memos, you'll probably find something about aliens or Elvis.  It's just a bunch of  bureaucratic gossip.

An interesting article about the new Ford SUV.  They really seemed to have thought this out.  Ford has the right idea but they should of just used the electric motor for propulsion like the Volt.  It would save weight, lesson the complexity, and cost of a dual system hybrids use.  Of course the engineers probably thought of this and decided not to go in that direction.  I wonder why?

Recycling, as a Means to Survive

Articles like these are the reason why I prefer online news over tv news.  It's about a woman named Patricia Walsh who's down on her like (a situation I'm very familiar with) and how she survives.  It really is incredible how little you need to survive, even if it is very depressing.  I won't say it's inspiratonal but good to know others are having a hard time too.

If I had one wish it would be that everyone in the world would be happy for one day.  Perhaps I should've wish everyone could be feed or have a job or not live in violence, but I don't believe that's possible.  Or perhaps it's because I haven't been happy in a long time.  I'm a little down right now.  Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

The Fall

I agree with all the reviews about the beautiful cinematography but really can't give this film a thumbs up.  Generally fairy tales are aimed at children but I've never seen a fairy tale so dark, so violent, and so geared for a more mature audience.  And that's the flaw, it seemed to try to be both a adult and a childrens film at the same time.  In the end, "The Fall" misses it's mark with either group.

Also, while the little girl Alexandra (played by Cantinca Untaru) was cute as a button, unfortunately her accent was so thick that I was expecting subtitles. And why is the main character Roy (played by Lee Pace) dressed-up like Lady Gaga?

A better choice to watch would be "The Princess Bride."
