Non-inspirational Quotes

I don't what to appear like a jerk but what is it with women and posting so-called inspirational quotes that aren't inspiring but extremely hokey. Are people's beliefs, philosophy, and general outlook all that great if they can fit it into a electronic version of a bumper sticker?
