Material Wants From a Non-Materialist

Okay I'll admit, I want an iPad.  There I said it.  It's a waste of money, a netbook is more versatile, there will be plenty of Android based competition coming soon, and many more reasons not to buy one.  But I still want one and it bothers me since I want to define myself as a Thoreau minimalist.  I guess I have to work on it some more.  Self-actaulization- I'm still chasing you.
